The 2022 vintage started early, with bud break in early March. Cold weather in late spring, with much-needed precipitation, helped shape the season in another record drought year. Early summer heat, with a record early harvest at the end of July. Although the vintage was characterized by incredible variation in each growing area and low yields everywhere, the wines are lively and fruity with balanced tannins.
Elegantly full with fresh notes of lemon custard, freshly sliced pineapple, marshmallow, dried apricot and hints of honeydew melon and vanilla, with an overarching bright acidity with a creamy aftertaste.
