Charles Heidsieck founded his eponymous champagne house in 1851, and is credited with popularising France's finest fizzy export in the US, gaining the sobriquet "Champagne Charlie" in the process.
A classic Blanc de Blancs, this is wonderfully complex and balanced, with notes of marzipan, mango, ripe green apple and brioche, ending with a burst of tropical fruit.
Food pairing: A great aperitif or partner to fish, seafood and chicken dishes.
