Dark red color with light orange reflection. Varied aroma with primary and secondary aromas of ripe red fruit, eglantine and violets. Balanced mouthfeel with lots of depth and good fruit. Powerful structure with earthy nuances. Lots of length in the aftertaste.
Important to chamber the wine to a temperature of 20 - 22° C. Lager is definitely too cold. Open 1-3 hours before serving. Pour carefully i.v.m. depot formation. However, decanting is not necessary. Too much oxygen unnecessarily dries out the wine.
Food pairing: Agnolotti with truffle, risotto with mushrooms, game, including hare. spicy cheeses.
